The Role
This is a newly created position within the senior management team and reports directly to the Vice President.
The core functions of the role are:
To manage a bold fleet expansion plan to deliver exceptional customer service, outstanding operational performance and to continue growing a world class reputation
To ensure a culture of continuous improvement globally across all areas of the business.
To create and implement a strategic plan for the further development of a growing global fleet by working closely with other members of the senior management team.
The Person
To be considered for this unique career opportunity you will already be a high profile individual with world wide exposure in tanker operations. You are likely to have sailed in a senior seagoing rank (Deck or Engine) within hydrocarbon shipping and will now be operating in a senior management or executive level role in vessel operations.
You will have a proven track record in managing organisational change and working with diverse multi-national and multi-cultural clients, colleagues and stake holders within a recognised world class organisation. A deep cultural appreciation and performance record of conducting business and managing relationships within Asia are essential.
You will have a demonstrable track record in strategic management and leadership preferably gained in a ship owning environment. You are likely to be educated to tertiary level holding a relevant shipping or business qualification (e.g. MBA or MSc).
You will be used to operating in a best-in-class HSSE culture and possess the vision and commitment to develop and deliver strategic plans as well as the technical credibility and authority to lead fleet operations, cost management, people development, technical capability building and new building project delivery.
