The Role
As Technical Director you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of
first-class fleet operational performance encompassing technical, HSSE, commercial, nautical, procurement and crewing activities.
You will report directly to the senior management board and lead a high-performing team of individuals.
You will liaise closely with commercial counterparts and provide necessary technical input as required.
The Person
You will be an ex-seagoing Chief Engineer with significant tanker expertise and will be able to demonstrate recent exposure to shore-based tanker fleet management.
You are likely to be in a similar role now and be looking to enhance your career or will operating at Senior Fleet Manager level and feel that you have the necessary skills and abilities to take the next step up in your career development.
You will have proven leadership ability allied with a talent for communication.
You will possess a Class 1 (Engine) Certificate of Competency. Evidence of further academic study to tertiary level (e.g. MBA) is highly desirable.
Fluent spoken and written language skills are essential. Fluency in German language is highly desirable.
